LOOK | PNPAAAI Visits Region 10 Chapter
On August 23, 2024, the Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association Inc. (PNPAAAI), represented by Lakan Jefferson P. Ison ’07, Treasurer, visited the PNPAAAI Regional Chapter 10 Lakans in Cagayan de Oro.
Upon arrival, Lakan Ison paid a courtesy visit to Lakan William T. Manengyao ’98, Jail Warden of BJMP Cagayan de Oro City, over lunch. The same courtesy was also given to Lakan Ricardo F. Layug Jr. ‘93, the PRO 10 Regional Director, before the commencement of the fellowship in the afternoon.
Despite the fellowship being scheduled on a holiday, it was a resounding success. After the presentation of the PNPAAAI updates, an open forum followed where the Lakans actively participated and raised their concerns. Having Lakan Ison serving concurrently as PNPAAAI Treasurer and PRO 10 Board of Trustees’ representative is timely, as he was able to address queries regarding membership contributions, ongoing and additional financial assistance for Lakans, and future programs that require budget deliberations. The event concluded with a fellowship dinner.
The visit continued the following day with a friendly basketball match organized for Lakan members from various classes. This activity promoted camaraderie, teamwork, and physical fitness while fostering intergenerational bonding, mutual respect, and a strengthened sense of unity within the group. A lunch hosted by the Regional Director’s Office followed the said match.
Overall, the visit successfully combined meaningful discussions on financial matters, formal courtesy calls, and multiple fellowship opportunities with officers, upperclassmen, and junior members.
