On April 8, 2025, the Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association, Inc. (PNPAAAI) conducted a Membership Orientation for the PNPA Sinaglawin Class of 2025 at Heroes Hall, PNPA, Silang, Cavite.
The event was designed to prepare the graduating class for life beyond the academy and to encourage proactive engagement with the alumni association. On behalf of PNPA Director Lakan Christopher C. Birung ’92, Deputy Director Lakan Jayson L. Capoy ’93 formally opened the program, warmly welcoming the guests and sharing a message of motivation for the cadets.
Distinguished alumni, including Gawad Dakilang Lakan awardee Lakan Maximo C. Sumeg-Ang, Jr. ’06 and Metrobank Awardee Lakan Mark Ronan B. Balmaceda ’12, inspired the class with reflections from their careers in public service, highlighting the values of integrity, excellence, and resilience.
Lakan Byron F. Allatog, Public Relations Officer of PNPAAAI, discussed the comprehensive presentation about the association’s history, corporate membership, organizational structure, standing committees, and the responsibilities and benefits of membership.
This was followed by a strategic presentation from Lakan Dexter C. Versola, outlining the PNPAAAI Strategic Plan. The highlight of the session was the ceremonial turnover of the Strat Plan Manual to the Class President, symbolizing the association’s commitment to shared leadership and development.
Lakan Allatog also facilitated an open forum and mentoring session, providing cadets the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with seasoned alumni.
The program concluded with heartfelt guidance from PNPAAAI Vice Chairperson Lakan Cedrick G. Train, who emphasized that cadetship is not merely about academic excellence, but about character, commitment, and community. “Cadets learn to be useful—to themselves, their families, their communities, and society,” he shared. “Act while you are still able; do your part while you still have the capacity to contribute… Above all, have faith in GOD.”
The orientation reaffirmed PNPAAAI’s commitment to guiding and empowering its newest members as they transition into their roles as full-fledged public safety officers.
