LOOK | PNPAAAI Pays Courtesy Visit to 30th Chief PNP PGEN ROMMEL FRANCISCO D MARBIL

The Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association, Inc. (PNPAAAI) recently paid a courtesy visit to the 30th Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), POLICE GENERAL ROMMEL FRANCISCO D MARBIL on May 2, 2024 at PNP National Headquarters, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.

LAKAN GILBERTO DC CRUZ, together with other members of the Board of Trustees, discussed various significant matters aimed at improving the academy and the alumni community as a whole. Key topics included the budget for PNPA, where PGEN MARBIL recommended a rotating fund patterned to regions to ensure the smooth flow of operations and efficient use of resources; a reiteration of the request for Billeting and the Salary for Professors and Instructors; support for the construction of the PNPA Chapel; continuity of collaboration between the PNP, BFP, and BJMP through MOA concerning Fire and Jail Cadets, where PGEN MARBIL instructed the BOT to study it further and submit recommendations; updates on the PNPA Modernization Bill, where PGEN MARBIL expressed his support and provided insights regarding curriculum development at PNPA; and the swift release of the PNP fund support for PNPA Alumni Homecoming.

Meanwhile, PGEN MARBIL shared with the BOTs his top three priorities during his leadership, which include enhancing the legal proficiency of police officers, establishing group health insurance for PNP personnel, and streamlining work processes to focus more on police duties and less on paperwork. He also briefly discussed the Time-in-Grade for Third Level, ensuring that police generals serve for at least 10 years before retirement and to give more chances to the young generation of police officers.

Towards the end, the PNPAAAI Board of Trustees expressed full support for Chief PNP’s leadership and hopes for strengthened collaboration, as the PNPA alumni members, who now predominantly hold key positions, play a vital role in shaping a more efficient and effective police organization.
